Diversity and tempo in PhD students’ seminar in September

The diversity of research topics and projects at the department was visualized and discussed at the jubilee event given by the PhD students on the 21st of September. In total, 15 of the PhD students at the department shared their ongoing research efforts, up-to-date results and also thoughts about the future – both through posters and oral presentations.  The topics covered many things, from e-learning platforms and self-learning to platforms for collective intelligence and consumer values in systems engineering. Also some future research was elaborated on, such as issues related to inclusion and ICT, the role of artificial intelligence and how social relations may be affected in a pictured future world where the technical development generates questions of what it is to be human. The jubilee event was overall characterized by diversity and tempo.
